The mark of an expert player is premoving — Hikaru premoves, Magnus premoves, breakdancers premove. If you know what you’re gonna need next, your tools should let you queue up the subsequent moves, especially when it is cheap to revert mistakes.
so… Windsurf now has Queued Messages! It will just show up when you try to continue telling Cascade to do things while it is still working.
Previously if you thought of something belatedly while a task was being done, you had to either type it in the textbox and come back to hit enter at the appropriate time (ugh) or cancel the work in progress and send/modify the message.
That breaks flow. Windsurf HATES breaking your flow. You should just feel free to fire and forget messages into Cascade and let it work through your stream of consciousness.
Queued Messages compose nicely with other Windsurf features like tool calling and checkpointing so all your familiar workflows still apply.
