Stack Overflow just came out with insights on how developers use and view AI assistance tools, and Codeium was at the top right when it comes to productivity and satisfaction, as shown above. We are continuing to work hard to drive even more value to our community.
While we appreciate all of our users, a core thesis to Codeium is to be valuable even in the most complex enterprise environments, so it was also great to see Codeium gaining traction amongst professional developers. In 2023, Stack Overflow polled its users on AI tool usage, and Codeium barely made the list amongst professional developers:
In this pulse survey, a year later, Codeium has increased its share of usage by almost 600%, becoming the most used startup-provided AI assistant. Meanwhile, GitHub Copilot, while maintaining leadership due to the first-mover advantage, has actually seen a reduced share of popularity amongst professional developers. We believe this highlights our differentiated focus on enterprise readiness and usefulness in complex, enterprise stacks:
We look forward to continuing to lead in value and expand in popularity.
