Claude Sonnet 5 is now live in Devin Desktop and Devin CLI.

Claude Sonnet 5 pairs frontier-level coding performance with a more affordable price point, making advanced coding models practical for everyday engineering work. On [FrontierCode](https://cognition.ai/blog/frontier-code), our proprietary benchmark that grades models on real-world tasks based on quality and mergeability, Claude Sonnet 5 outperforms Opus 4.8. Note: These relative rankings may change slightly with coming adjustments to FrontierCode.

Through August 31, 2026, Claude Sonnet 5 will use roughly 30% less quota than Claude Sonnet 4.6 in Devin Desktop and Devin CLI. After that, it will use the same quota as Claude Sonnet 4.6.
